Can they be washed?** A: I had washed some by accident and they clean beautifully bit no longer expand the same way. You cannot really use them after washing, but like others say, you can use them for a good week. I have a container i keep mine in so no dirt and dust. been using for 5 years for work and sleep so average 12h a day weekly. No ear issues, infections, or anything like that. **Q: shooting?** A: Theses have a noise reduction rate of 32, and most shooting ear muffs only have a noise reduction rate of around 22-26, so these will definitely protect you. That being said, I agree with the person who said they work best along with outer ear protection. Of course, it also it depends on what you're shooting and whether you're shooting at an indoor range or outside, but again, I'd still play it safe and double up. **Q: What is the decibel rating?** A: Here is what I found... These uncorded plugs are rated NRR 32(or Noise Reduction Rating of 32). NRR is calculated by unprotected ear dB levels minus protected ear decibel levels minus 3 dB. En cuanto a su calidad es muy buena, pueden durar muchas puestas, yo apenas abrĂ­ un par, me los he puesto como 8 veces y siguen como nuevos, entonces estos 200 van a durar para mucho tiempo. Por otro lado, en cuanto a su eficacia. La verdad es que son muy buenos porque si se usan de manera correcta siguiendo tal cual las instrucciones, se puede obtener un resultado bastante bueno, lo suficiente para que ningĂșn ruido te moleste en la noche; evidentemente no va a aislar al 100% todos los ruidos (nada ni ningĂșn aparato lo hace), pero sĂ­ ladridos de perros, mĂșsica fuerte, ruidos del entorno, etc. Entonces la gente que dice que no les ha funcionado es porque seguramente no los han aplicado bien. Un buen procedimiento consiste en apretarlos bien para compactarlos e introducirlos rĂĄpidamente hasta el fondo del oĂ­do mientras jalas tu oreja hacia afuera y al final los debes mantener presionados como 40 segundos. El problema es que despuĂ©s de un tiempo te empiezan a doler los oĂ­dos por lo mismo que se expanden en el canal auditivo. Por lo tanto, deberĂ­an ser usados solo cuando se duerme o en momentos especĂ­ficos.
