Someone said it is only 3.6 inches wide, but how long? Obviously not 13.4" as stated in product details** A: I don't have it handy but it is the same dimension as any standard drywall sander. I also remember it took a lot of strength to lift the clamps, but it holds securely. **Q: can this be used to sand painted wood?** A: This unit holds sandpaper.
