I have a porter cable 2.6cfm 6 gallon pancake compressor and it runs it full power. You get about 20 seconds before the compressor kicks on. The guy who said it won’t work, and it HAS to have 4cfm never actually tried it. You can’t run this thing all day off a smaller compresssor, but for light intermittent work it will work just fine. **Q: Where is it made?** A: This Ingersoll Rand Air Hammer and Chisel Set is made in Taiwan. **Q: How do I assemble it out of the box? This is my first air hammer and it doesn't tell me anything in the printed materials.** A: The "tip" if you will is basically a quick (dis)connect attachment for the tips that came with it. Put that on and use the allen screws built into it to tighten it really good. Then you just grab it and slide it down towards the hammer itself, which allows you to insert the tips, then let go and they should be locked in. Purchased the trailer from Home Depot back in the early 90’s and worked well for our needs. Cost ratio is good and the zip gun as we call it around here worked incredibly well. My old one would not provide enough force to break over a dozen carriage bolts that were rusted. This did! The chisels with this are good and not too light. I purchased a different set to use with this gun and the metal chisels were all too soft so went back and used the chisels that came along with the gun and worked well. As another reviewer pointed out, make sure you add pneumatic gun which would help the gun work properly.
