Love that it doesn't pill and can keep wetting and layering as needed. I took mine camping with my slate satchel and field case. Lays flat (unlike other bounded sketchbooks). A true joy to paint with. Also works great using watercolor pencils and watercolor brush markers. I have not tried alcohol markers yet. The smallest one is just perfect for slipping into my pack. I do feel the white cover will get dirty overtime, being used outdoors. But hey. Now if the rain would stop, I could get out there and fill it up by the end of summer.My only issue, is that I journal the date and a little story to go with my sketch. Writing with pens and markers don't work so well. I reached out to etchr and they said to try gel pens, they work better on cotton. Paints are vibrant, accepts ink well and takes a lot of water and scrubbing without pilling. I wish I had tried these years before. One thing...there is a noticeable difference between the color of the cold pressed versus the hot press paper. The cold press is bright white...the hot press is more ivory.I purposely bought these instead of the premium Etchr group. They use Fabriano paper in the premium version. I have used Fabriano for a long time but recent changes to their process has produced a lesser quality paper, IMHO. The paper used in these is comparable to Arches.If you are on the fence, take the plunge.
