Check the backplate fits your motherboard unlike me *by J***M on 16 March 2023* While the cooler and parts are really well made, the backplate does NOT support all AM4 motherboards, my motherboard has cut outs on the stock backplate for chips so you cannot use the provided Noctua backplate, not unless you cut into it or modify it, otherwise you need to use the screws to mount the fan to mount the block through the stock motherboard backplate and find other screws for the fan to mount to the cooler block. Personally I had to modify the fan shroud a little bit on the edges where the screws go through so that the only screws I had would fit would reach the cooler but you can hardly notice that at all in the case due to it being dark and enclosed anyway (See image of cooler attached) The backplate in use is the stock MSI B550I motherboard one, with the fan screws being the same size thread as the mounting screws I was able to use those to mount things perfectly without any problems (Not my first PC by far, custom building for YEARS so I know when is safe to do so) The backplate provided by Noctua in the listing images do NOT have those extra top and bottom cut outs, something that I missed when I made my purchase so I was unable to use it, but I was able to work around that with an hour or two of carefully tweaking the fan.
