And what about after they have been opened?** A: Hello, this is what 3M says, "What is the shelf life of 3M™ Cartridges?Provided they are stored unopened in the originalpackaging, cartridges will last five years frommanufacture date."If opened, it greatly depends on the environment. Activated charcoal is incredibly absorbent and will fill up quick; in a few days. **Q: If these filters work with spray paint would you still need p95 filter, and if so how would you go about installing them into these?** A: You do not need the p95 filter, however, they are a nice add on pre filter that can extend the life of the gas/vapor cartridge. The p95 filter snaps onto the cartridge with a 3M 501 Filter Retainer. **Q: Will this work with 3m6391 p100 mask?** A: it fits 6000 series masks which have standard 3M round fitting, screws on. **Q: How do these compare to a N95 disposable mask. do they filter out as much or a lot more?** A: No, this cartridge does not filter out particles.
