At least the two I bought do, I bought two bikes at different times and they both have coaster brakes as well as a handbrake for the front wheel. Both bikes are the smallest size, I think 12", so maybe the larger versions don't. Both of the twins love them and use only the coaster brakes so far. **Q: Has anyone found this bike to be too heavy for their child?** A: Yes bike is way too heavy for my 5 year old. Purchased it in 2020 for his 4th birthday. He’s about to turn 6 and it’s still too heavy for him.
