I didn't need to use the tacks to help hold it up, the adhesive backing was strong enough. And that's with a dog tie that goes under the door and presses up and backwards on this (I have this on an outside porch door), it doesn't come off the door. It works great at keeping the breeze, dirt, and insects out. It's a really solid material. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ looks good, still attached, no wind/smell *by S***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2019* I bought 2" W white one about a month ago, then 3" W one about 2 weeks ago. Both look very good and match great with white painted metallic kitchen door and white painted wooden room door. The cleaning pad with primer smells like wd40 for a day or so. the 3" w one had slight wrinkles from being rolled initially but didn't seem to affect function or look eventually. They are very easy to cut and apply. I made them stand on the floor, top portion not touching the door, then from middle to sides pressed top/glue portion. if you have a door mat, make sure the strip is above it, not just the floor. It probably won't stick the second time strong enough, especially on wooden doors. It can stick on the door with the double-sided tape that's already on it when you get it, but it also comes with some pins that can be pushed into the door for a more secure/permanent fit.When installing, it's good to ensure the bottom is where you want it before pressing hard to stick it onto the door.
