It has a loud tone and vibrate alert when she pushes either of two transmitters on neck cords that are detachable. We put one on my mothers walker and one in the bathroom. It has two receivers and they all work together. It does have 52 programmable tones but I am not going to mess with what works. I highly recommend over a bell to ring. :)

I use these pagers for my adult son who is disabled and needs assistance toileting - when he needs my help he just presses the button - I leave the pager buttons on a hook by the toilet and it has given both of us more freedom and piece of mind and puts him in control of asking for assistance
