This would be a great choice for your application. Please keep in mind this is designed for a 36 volt system. **Q: Does it charge the batterys at all or do you have to use the cart charger an then use it to just maintain.** A: If your battery is above 80% this unit will charge to 100% and maintain. I like it but even though more expensive I prefer my Pulse Tech extreme with Quad Link. Takes care of 4 separate batteries. **Q: this claims to work for industrial size batteries for forklifts and scissor lifts. anyone ever use it for this purpose? mainly maintain not charge.** A: I have purchased the 36 volt unit and use it on a Cat M30 forklift. It works fine except that it shuts down after a few days thinking that the battery is bad because it takes to long to come to full charge. I just unplug and let it reset and hook back up. It has a very small charge rate and a lot of use of the lift truck would be beyond the reasonable recharge time. I have the lift for convince and do not use much.
