It says installation by professional only, but if you're handy and have an assistant, you are probably better off than a professional working solo. All fasteners are stainless steel; a nice touch. Doors are reversible for left or right hand installation, make it a versatile design. Door hinges are also reversible, adding to versatility. Unit is 68 pounds, so it is challenging to move around and hold in place if you are working alone. The hardest part besides holding it in place while installing is drilling holes into porcelain tile. You need a quality diamond 3/16" drill bit and a variable speed drill to drill into tile at slow speed. If everything is plumb and level, installation is straightforward. If it isn't, you have 3/8 inch play to adjust installation. All parts needed (except tools) were included, including some spare parts in case needed; a nice touch. All in all, it's nice to deal with such a well thought out product!
Review: Best value of any 30" bi-folding shower door! - The overall dimensions of this door are correct (29 1/2" x 72") my finished opening size was 31" leaving a 1 1/2" gap, I installed the door so it opened from left to right with the shower head on the left side. almost no water escapes and when it does it's very minimal. The look is clean and it's manufactured very very well! I looked at many Bi-folding shower doors, most were clumsy with lots of metal trim and had top headers that went from wall to wall; all were selling for more then twice the cost of this Dreamline bi-folding shower! This shower door will not disappoint!

A: Yes, it is bi-fold. It can fold and swing in and out

**Q: What is the maximum rough opening that this door can be installed in?**
A: Don't listen to the others.
The MINIMUM rough opening required is 34"(accounting for out of plumb walls).
There is NO "MAXIMUM", you will just have a larger opening or as people are calling it a "gap".

**Q: is there an option for Black Hardware for this shower door?**
A: Unfortunately, Satin Black hardware is not an option at this time.  Thank you for considering DreamLine.

**Q: I hace a 31.5" opening for my small shower. Could this door still work in a space that confined?**
A: No, it won't work. Minimum is 33 1/2 and even that is tied.

This shower door set is the most intelligent and attractive design I have seen. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So Cool! We bought the door first

So Cool! We bought the door first, then had our tile guys adjust the studs, before retiling the shower. They made it 1/8" tight on the wall opening and 1/4" tight on the bottom. We left the bottom tall to swing both, in and out over the shower curb. (the curb slants inward). With the water restricter int he the shower, there is very little leakage. I took it out because, "I don't like the sound of that!" (Seinfeld reference) A little more water splashes out, because of the gushing water, when rinsing my hair. I only noticed the day, I did not put a mat down outside the shower. We did not use any of the silicone trim pieces or the metal stop-track. We probably will not, because we get the floor more wet after getting out, than we do during the shower. It was super easy to install (two-people to make it super level). We like that the little door swings out too. It is a 3' wide bathroom. We will probably get more doors for our tubs in the house.
