How To Use Step 1 Remove the back paper from the dressing to expose the adhesive surface. Don’t touch the adhesive side of dressing. Step 2 Center the dressing over the wound. As you'd expect, I've had a significant amount of experience with a lot of wound care products. Even in retirement, family and friends ask me to take a look at various injuries with some frequency so I keep a fairly extensive collection of medical supplies on hand - hemostatic agents, suture kits, Israel battle dressings, suture kits, assorted bandages etc.. Last year I decided to try this EalionMed brand of transparent dressing when a neighbor had a nasty gash in his leg from a car accident. I liked the large 10cm x 12cm size and found that it worked as well as much more expensive brands I've used. In fact, its performance was indistinguishable. I've used it several times since, most recently today. I just finished dressing a partial thickness friction burn on my brother in law's leg (he got his dog's leash wrapped around his leg just as the dog took off chasing something). I applied an antiseptic dressing and used this film dressing to hold it in place. The dressing worked so well for me today and all the other times I've used it that I'm taking the time to write this review. This is a quality product offered at a very fair price. If you have need of a transparent film dressing this should serve you well.

**Q: Can these be used for covering gauze while going to the beach for a few hours?**
A: I say absolutely! I use mine to cover my insulin pump and it stays completely dry and solidly in place. Even after showers an such.

**Q: Cani put this over honey ointment for burns**
A: As long as it is a very thin layer of ointment and doesn't go to the edges of the film.

**Q: will this prevent contamination of infusion site for TPN?  I am afraid of infection but would enjoy occasional bath or shower.**
A: Yes if you crimp it securely around the tubing and as close to the skin entry site as possible and get all the wrinkles out close to the edge to prevent water from seeping in. It is very adherent.

**Q: How can they be waterproof and breathable?**
A: These are waterproof but not breathable.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked to cover heart monitor for showers but be careful

This worked really well to cover a temporary heart monitor, but, the first time I used it, then started to remove it, it was stuck to the heart monitor and would have pulled it off, too. I had to cut it off around the edge of the monitor, then the next time I showered I covered the monitor with an XL bandaid, then put this bandage over all of it. That worked. It pulls some when you remove it, and my skin was red but it went away. It seems completely waterproof if you follow the directions closely and seal it up really well around the edges.
