The first and second books in this trilogy are incredible, enchanting, even. The third, for me, was a little bit of a letdown. It was equally thrilling right up to the last chapter, but the ending was disappointing. My sister listened to the series as well and she felt the same way, but don't let that deter you from listening to them anyway. Even with the unsatisfying ending it remains one of the best series that I have read.
