I added heavy duty caster wheels to make it more mobile. (If you do this you need long threaded casters, because the base is 2 inches thick or use a threaded sleeve to connect the caster and a bolt in order to extend it) I tested it and the pedestal doesn't even vibrate because it's so solid and heavy. the whole thing with the grinder weights about 80 lbs and it's not going anywhere because of that. I tested it also without locking the casters and it's as solid as can be!! I was worried when I first purchased it, Jet has been questionable lately and it was pricey, but this did not disappoint. Definitely worth the extra I spent on this one. I have a Woodstock stand for my 8" buffer that now looks like a toy compared to this one.
