Review: Great for PCB cleaning - These are great for PCB microelectronics repair. There is no one else that makes swabs quite like these. My only wish is if they would be double sided so i wouldn't go through them so fast.
Review: If you work on PCBs you should get these - I bought these swabs specifically for cleaning solder joints and flux residue off PCBs, and they’ve been perfect for the job. The sponge tips are great for precision cleaning and hold the residue surprisingly well. I found that they picked up residue more effectively than other similar swabs I’ve used, which tended to leave more smudge marks behind (especially when removing excess solder paste). The back tip is also really nice for fixing small solder paste bridges before reflowing. Highly recommend for electronics work.

**Q: what is the diameter at the thickest part of the foam?**
A: Measured 0.14" with calipers

**Q: will these swabs fit into a headphone/earphone jack?**
A: Depending on which size jack you are talking about, they may or may not fit.  The bigger issue is that if you are able to get the tip into the jack, you run the risk of a fragment breaking off and remaining inside the jack after "cleaning."  I would advise against attempting it.

**Q: Can these be used with acetone?**
A: I  have used these with Remington Bore Cleaner, and Ballistol and with no difficulties.  Hope this helps.

**Q: Will this clean between the 0.1" (2.54mm) spaced header pins on a PCB?**
A: Yes, it will.
