Q: What should I do if the wire gets stuck during use? A: The first thing to avoid this situation is to keep the rope tight during work. If the steel rope is put too much at one time also causing the steel rope inside to loosen and jam. Correct operation: down the rope according to the demand. Review: Great electric hoist - Great little electric hoist, very powerful, perfect for my car restoring project. Arrived in a simple brown cardboard box. This one is a 300Kg load version, but on the box, it shows there is also available with 200Kk and 500kg max. It comes with a remote controller, which didn’t had battery in it, so I had to order a 23A type of battery, but only cost me an extra £2. There was also fixed bracket, two expansion screw, and a pair of gloves in the box. I’ve seen other electric hoist with wired control, but for me the remote control is more convenient as I fill a lot safer to step back from the hoist when it operates and the remote control gives me this freedom. The unit itself feels cheap outside as the hosing is plastic, but this is just like the casing, inside is all made from steel. I’ve used the top hook to mount this on the H beam in my garage, right above where I’m working on my old-timer, so I can use it when I must lift heavy car part or even to lift the engine to reach the transmission box. I've used this under extreme loads several times and so far, I had no problem at all. The wire rope is over 10 m long, and the lifting speed is 5m/minute, which is not too fast, but is still very impressive from such a small hoist. There are a few safety features added to this such like LED indicates, a green LED shows, if it’s all good, and a red if its overloaded or there’s other faults. Both hooks can swivel in 360 degree and it looks like both hooks can be easily changed if needed. For extra safety there is a rope limit switch overpull, technically this will cause an immediate engine cut as soon the switched is activated by the safety hammer. It also featured with overload protection, but I had no chance to test this as didn’t had to lift anything over 300kg yet. The fact that this hoist is portable (thanks to the small size and the handle) is an added plus! If you do a lot of work around the garage, home, shop, garden, or on a small construction site, you will find this tool 100% useful. But be aware that it won't pull a car or anything crazy heavy, it wasn't built for that.
