I measured first and then ideally I order one size bigger but I am disappointed . Or may be I am growing more but this belt was not much helped for me . **Q: How do you put the belt on? I can’t seem to workout which section goes where.** A: Hi there, We've all been there don't worry. Three belt parts and a little step by step tutorial and you'll be feeling the relief in no time. Our "Belly Band" is the section that goes first - the one that looks like a bubble C shape with the elasticated strap attached and this sits directly under your bump. Then the larger section, also known as our "Support Belt" comes second, wrapping around your back and attaching to the original section using the velcro straps. I still have a small bump but it did help releave some back pain.
