I used a small screwdriver to get under it and then push it over the lip. You'll see. But my refurb is done. Works great again. Should have been done 10 years ago. Measure the diameter of your wheels. If they are in that range, they will fit. Be sure to soak them in very hot water for a few minutes to ease the stretching required. **Q: Will this fit the grizzly g0817? its a 14inch wheel so i think so just dont see the model number.** A: I have not seen a Grizzly bandsaw but if it has 14" wheels more or less these tires will fit. They have to be stresched on, like stretching a rubber bans around something. YouTube has several good video's to show you how to put then on. If they are a little to wide they can be trimmed to fit after they are mounted, use a box cutter type type knife. My wheels actually measure 6&7/8 radius, or 13&3/4 diameter and the tires are just almost 1 inch wide. If these dimensions are similar to yours, should be good. As for 'ease of installation, ( not so easy) But the instruction say to soak the belts in hot water for a little while and try to install them while they are still warm and flexible! Well I did all that and it still was a fight to get them installed on the wheels of my band saw. But hey, taking the good and the bad, it is a very good product. and they fit perfectly on the 14" wheels of my band saw.
