The quality of the pieces is not as high as the board. The first set I ordered had a blemished bishop with a dark gouge. The rest of the pieces were of a suitable quality. The replacement set pieces are a little rougher, but unblemished, and of an acceptable quality. The owner of Chess Armory contacted me to see if I was happy with the original set and to provide a very nice PDF from Wikibooks on how to play chess. Good for beginners and intermediate players.
