It is a nice book with pages of practice for each letter. There are also silly sentences at the back to help my son connect his cursive letters. I agree with those reviewers about eh letter "Q". It should be written like a curly "2" rather than the book's normal Q with a bit of squiggle at the end. I am not sure why they have that. Review: For Grandchildren - I got this book (really two of them) for my 8 yr. old Grandaughter and soon to be 10 yr. old Grandson. I haven't mailed them yet but I'm sure the children will love it. They are both the artistic type and want to teach themselves cursive! This with help guide them and be fun. Unfortunately I've heard the school system (state or nationwide?) are not going to teach cursive writing at school. I feel this is a very big mistake. Children need and want to learn this. After all some of the most important documents are written in cursive--Declaration of Independence for one. Electronic reading and typing/texting is great, but cursive is an art and I would hate to see it vanish. (Especially since I tend to write to my grandchildren in cursive and I want they to enjoy hearing from me. So anyone should get this practice book for children of elementary grade ages. Love that there are numbers to show where to start and where to go when making the letters. It offers both capital and lowercase letters to practice as well as short words and in the last pages of the book there are sentences that incorporate both capital and lowercase letters. However, something that really bothers me (which was mentioned in another review) is the way that the capital letter Q was changed. In this book, it teaches the capital letter Q looks just like a printed letter Q except that the line has a little wave to it. I learned that the Q looks like the number 2 and just about every where I looked on the internet, the Q is supposed to look like the number 2. I don't know if this book is hoping to change that or if someone was lazy or if the proofreaders missed it.
