Review: Completely worth it! - It's been such a pain to wrestle with keeping the hood up, wrestling with the little support arm while I am trying to climb on the bumper to be tall enough anyway. This kit was easy to install, didn't require any modifications, and works like a champ pushing and holding the hood up. I don't know why this isn't a factory upgrade, but cheap and easy for you. If you're looking, just get it and install it - you'll be glad you did. Note - it does spring the hood up when it's just latched at the radiator without the side clamps, which is actually a nice safety feature so you don't get on the highway only to find that you didn't properly secure everything from working in their earlier. Good stuff!

It allows you to bypass the whole act of manually lifting the hood and fighting with the support rod while balancing the hood with one arm. The installation instructions are pictures and not very detailed, but there is a YouTube video that shows how to construct and install the product. Overall it's a very good product, installing is very easy and it's a great upgrade.

**Q: Where is this made?**
A: I don’t know but it work really good love it

**Q: I did not receive any instructions, where can i get them?**
A: Look at YouTube videos. It's easy. There are several videos on there to show you.

**Q: Does it allow the hood to fold all the way back to the windshield for replacing my battery?**
A: The hood will not fold all the way back to the windshield. I've replaces the battery in my 2012 Wrangler, but it was difficult, mainly because of the stiffness of the battery cables and the accessories attached to he cable terminals.

**Q: What makes this not compatible with 2007-2010 Jeep Jks?**
A: The only difference i know is there is a slot about 1 1/2 to 2 in long on the edge of the hood about half way up. I think it would fit but knot positive.

It's been such a pain to wrestle with keeping the hood up, wrestling with the little support arm while I am trying to climb on the bumper to be tall enough anyway. As expected, this worked great. The directions could be better. Ended up finding a YouTube video that clarified each step. Without the video I thought I had to drill holes into my hood. Do not drill holes!!!!! This fits in already made holes. Find the video ;)
