## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yum! Flavor stacks up to most Indian restaurants.

Yummy indian food. Butter Chicken was a dish originally created in England take-out shops by Indian cooks. This product was made in India. The contents of packet are consistent in quality and flavor. It comes out as a thick paste/chunk that is slightly oily. Don't let the appearance deter you. The packets I received have two years until expiration date. I like this brand above others I've tried. This is a very nice pantry staple that can make delightful dinner in 30 minutes. It is fine just by itself, but I tweak it.How I use it: First, saute chopped large yellow onion in 1 tbsp oil or butter until soft and translucent. Remove onion and set aside. In same pan, cook bite sized chunks of raw chicken over medium high heat and stir until slightly browned. Add packet contents. Add 1 cup milk or buttermilk instead of water to give it more body, and return onions to pan. Some people like to add chopped bell pepper (seeds removed), but I don't. I do add 1/4 cup of unsweetened coconut powder if I have it handy, but it's not necessary. Slow simmer until chicken is well cooked and sauce has thickened, about 10-20 minutes depending on chicken piece size and brown level. I may need to add a little more water to add volume and adjust consistency to my liking. At the end of cooking, I turn off heat, then I add a tablespoon or two of buttermilk or yogurt for tang if I have it. Serve over basmati or jasmine rice. Top with toasted slivered almonds or cashews for salty crunch. A side dish of Indian spinach like Palak Paneer or Palak Dal and Naan bread is also nice, but not required.TLDR: yum! Flavor stacks up to most Indian restaurants.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delicious!

Simply delicious! I obsessively order paneer makhani from my favorite Indian restaurant and thought I'd try my hand at it myself after discovering the dish five years ago.Fry up from homemade paneer (super easy to make) in some homemade ghee (also super easy) and set aside. Cook some onions in the pan, add the curry paste according to the instructions, throw in microwaved peas, and then the paneer. So, so good!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quick, easy, and delicious

I won't pretend to be an expert of any kind, but I do enjoy a broad landscape of foods from alll over the world.I've used this product just as per directions, and modified in various ways, and the only serious change is that I don't find it necessary to add so much butter. I use the natural fat from the chicken components and it's fine. I add varous veggies, and sometimes a good plain yogurt on top of it, usually served over my favorite short-grained brown rice. Enjoy!
