Review: Affordable Home Touches - I originally bought this to be mounted in the wall, but decided against this once received. The only mounting option is on the rear, and that would have caused anchors to protrude through that wall to the other room. I also did not want to restrict airflow. It turned into an easy on-wall installation and has a floating appearance that hides the power outlet. The many available options for color and speed give my household the exact look and feel we want for any mood. A backup heat source is great to have, even if it is limited in power. I also have a sound bar sitting on top, taking advantage of the opportunity since our TV is wall-mounted as well. This might not be recommended for fire safety, but the heat (when on) blows out of the front very efficiently so I'm not concerned. Be warned that there are gaps in the two top corner holes that children can stick small, thin objects into and sit on the rock display for all to see.
