    Neglects basic skills and covers few characters

I got this to share with my super hero-mad toddlers.  I figured it would both be fun to read through with them and help me up my game in drawing.But really it's not a good illustration book just a guide to copying a dozen or so pictures of heroes and villains with a few stickers thrown in.  There's little in there to help you create your own drawings.  I was very disappointed to see that Wonder Woman was the only female character in there, which means the number of women is equal to the number of gorillas and about half the number of aliens.Instead of this I recommend Ty Tempton's How to Draw Batman and the DC Comics Super Heroes, which does cover a wide variety of characters and, more importantly, basic skills like creating stick figure skeletons, fleshing out figures and drawing facial expressions.  It also has a wider variety of heroes, villains, monsters and yes, women.
