Review: Works great. A very good product for the price. - I bought this to use on my '78 Suzuki, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I installed it myself and have been using it for a couple of months. So far, I'm very happy with it. It installed easily, although I added a fuse and relay (another $10), for safety and current-flow reasons. A switch and resistor are included, and the wires were more than long enough for my application. The installation took only about an hour, largely due to my indecision as to where to route the wires and where to place the switch and relay. The heaters provide a nice amount of heat and greatly improve my comfort durign my morning commute. (in temps down to 25F so far) The high setting is toasty in frigid weather, and the low setting is a nice comfort on cool mornings. I recommend this product f you are comfortable adding wiring to your bike, but be sure your charging system can handle the extra current and install a 12V automotive relay so you won't run your battery down if you forget to turn off the system. A fuse is also a good idea, because the heaters draw a lot of current, and most of the wiring will be under your gas tank.
Review: Mediocre Performance EDIT 12-06-12: Much Better! - "Yeah, they get warm. Sorta. Not even enough to feel through my insulated gloves. There's absolutely no way these will keep my hands warm. I suspect it might have something to do with my grips, which are foam, not rubber. I think the foam insulates too much for these to do their job. Or maybe they just suck. I guess I won't know unless I replace my grips with something else. The low setting utilizes a ceramic resistor that gets way too hot to touch, and the leads out of the resistor are made of a stiff wire that feels like it will break if you flex it much, so beware of that when you install. FYI, you're going to want to pick up an inline fuse holder or run the risk of catching wires on fire should something go amiss (like maybe that resistor lead popping loose and grounding to the frame). Also, a relay rigged up to your key switch wouldn't be a bad idea, otherwise you might accidentally leave them on and kill your battery." EDIT 12-06-12: Just finished taking off the foam grips and replacing them with gel grips. HUGE difference! They most definitely get warm now, much hotter than I expected based off my first time around. So, for future reference, these heating elements won't work well with foam grips, but should work well with more solid styles. I'm still leaving off 1 star because of the extra bits needed to wire them up the way they really need to be, and because I simply don't trust that low setting resistor.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple and Trustworthy

I have had many sets of these on many different bikes, and I've never had an issue with any of them. They install easily, fit on any bike, and function great. I generally never have to put them on high, as low is usually enough - even when riding in 30-40 degrees (F). You usually have to add a little 18g wire for the installation. Can be installed in about 30 minutes on most bikes. Has a trusty robust toggle switch, which may not look as nice as other options, but will not let you down after 6 months like the push button set ups. I go through a lot of bikes, and this is definitely my go-to for heated grips.
