If you are expecting metal and leather, you can go to Etsy and get one made well, with the high price tag, of course. (You get what you pay for, after all.) You can easily paint it with acrylic paint to fix the paint job. And you can unsew the blade from the arm piece to get into the blade part to stretch out the spring a little, there is a button that the spring is attached to, and that is how the blade will extend. You will most likely have to fix it, as the blade pops out too easily. Sewing the blade back onto the arm piece is very easy, so keep that in mind too, if you are willing to put in a little work, it is really good in my opinion. If you want to do some work on it for Halloween or a convention, I suggest getting it early so you will have time to get it done. (I am in the process of putting together a whole outfit.) ### ⭐ Arrived Broken, Very Poor quality *by G***C on Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2019* It comes in two pieces, a faux-leather cuff which is attached to the blade portion by some very thing strings. When mine arrived it had already broken 5 of the 6 strings. If the strings managed to break in transit, I can only imagine they would have broken instantly if this thing ever got caught on anything while I was wearing it. The second portion is a molded flexible plastic covering that mimics the shapes and colors of the gauntlets details. The colors were incredibly faded making the gauntlet look terrible, and the tension needed to get the entire thing to stay together on my arm meant that the plastic was pulled too tight and the shape was flattened. Overall the thing looked nothing like the pictures and was nearly useless as a costume accessory. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good base for alterations for a costume *by M*** on Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2019* Bought this for an Ezio Auditore cosplay for comic con, it's definitely not up to that standard on its own, but with a little adjustments (fixing up paint, filling in the rubber indents with glue or some other hardener, tightening straps, adding a firmer backing) it can serve the purpose pretty well. Would rate four stars if it was MEANT to be edited, but since it is kinda expected to be good on its own, it's getting three. The blade itself is a little loose and does tend to fall in slightly when the whole item is pointed up, but it's easy enough to hold it out by just putting a fingertip on it or something. Worth the low cost, especially if you have the materials to make it better yourself.
