**Q: Is this weather proof?**
A: No, the Premier "Prima" Heat Lamp is not weather proof.  It was designed for use in a protected or sheltered area.Thank you,Premier 1 Supplies

**Q: How large of an area will it heat?**
A: It honestly depends on how high off the ground you put it. I have it 4ft of the ground and the area around the lamp is about 3ft and it's all warm.  Of course the heat strait down from the lamp is the warmest.    I hope this helps, I love this heat lamp and plan on buying more!

**Q: Seems like an over priced heat lamp, how does it differ?**
A: The "Prima" heat lamp was designed with durability and safety being important features.  The attached review is very typical for this lamp.December 15, 2016, 8:01 pm	Prima Heat Lamp           Y	 Michael Elrod from ALThe Prima Heat Lamp is the best hands down. Works great on my goat farm. The Bucks beat on the heat lamp until the bulb unscrewed and fell into the bottom of housing. The heat lamp held up and was not damaged at all. I was able to re-screw the bulb in and reuse it. Very strong, easy to assemble, and very dependable.

**Q: How hot does the exterior of the lamp get? (please include the wattage/type of bulb you're using). Thanks!**
A: It will depend on the external conditions of where the lamp is placed.  When tested the lamp in an enclosed barrel, it measured 150 degrees at the grill of the lamp with a 250 watt bulb.  We primarily use a 175 watt bulb on our farms in Iowa, but it will handle a 250 watt bulb, if needed.
