Review: A picture is worth... - I bought this for my wife as a birthday present: more than we typically spend on each other, but I knew she would love it. And does she ever. Our old digital picture frame hasn't been updated for years and is far too small for mass vieing. I bought this so that we could easily add pictures through wifi. Quick review: love it. Worth it. Buy it. Slightly longer review: Positives- Great image quality, features, and functionality. The frame itself looks nice as well. It sits on a shelf with a bunch of other picture frames and looks right at home among them. I love the movies and the audio with them (though you can mute the sound when neccesary). Adding images couldn't be easier. Movies...well...more about that in a moment. The allowed online image space (without subscription) is quite good and should be enough for most people. Love it. Negatives- Just a couple here. The biggest in my opinion is the difficulty with adding videos. I have many old videos that I wanted to add from my computer (I really don't use my phone as a camera very often. I'm a professional photographer and even for around-the-house-family-time-images I generally grab my DLSR). The pictures I can just drag onto the web based image add feature. The videos won't. Those I had to upload to my phone/tablet to add them. Not the biggest thing in the world, but I had many videos I wanted to add. A bit of a pain. But certainly better than our old frame. My only other negative is the speakers: they are decent but certainly not great. It tends to be a bit tinny sounding and lacking depth. But it's not to the point that I feel it deserves to downgrade the overall rating of the frame. End result: love it. My wife and I often stand and just watch the images and movies for long stretches of time. Great way to display thousands of images (and this coming from a guy who loves his "wall of images" filled with children). While I will always print out our family images (at least until they have an affordable 11 x 14 digital picture frame) I will always want this picture frame on display as well.
Review: 8-Year Customer Let Down — Poor Quality, Slow Support, and a Sneaky Subscription Model - I’ve been a loyal Nixplay customer for over 8 years. In that time, I’ve purchased 10+ frames for my family, including one for my mom—who lives far away—so she could see photos of her grandkids. But after this latest experience, I’m done. The frame I bought this past holiday season arrived late and defective, which meant my mom missed her Christmas gift entirely. It then took weeks of painfully slow customer service to get a replacement. By the time it finally arrived, the moment had passed. I’ve never been a big fan of Nixplay’s clunky UI and clumsy software, but I put up with it because it was more or less functional—until now. To make matters worse, just three weeks after receiving the replacement, Nixplay quietly changed their business model to a paid annual subscription. Now, after nearly a decade of support and purchases, I’m being asked to pay yearly just to use core features that used to be included. This company has gone downhill. Between the defective product, delayed shipping, unresponsive support, mediocre software, and a shady pricing change, I can’t recommend Nixplay to anyone anymore. Longtime customers deserve better.

**Q: I see conflicting answers to this question, "Does the frame have its own internal memory for storing pictures or must you store images on the cloud?"**
A: Nixplay Frames are smart frames, so your content must be stored in the cloud for your frame to display content (i.e. there is no USB or SD-card slot from which you can load content onto your frame. The only way is via the cloud). The frames do have internal storage that (1) hold the on-frame software and (2) store recent photos/video clips that in the instance when a wi-fi connection is temporarily lost, the frame will still display recent images. In that sense, I'd suggest that the size of the internal storage is less of an issue than the size of the cloud storage (for Nixplay, included cloud storage is 10GB).  - Ryan from Nixplay

**Q: How long is the power cable?**
A: Short. 3 feet?

**Q: Can you disable the motion sensor?**
A: Yes. The "Motion" on/off switch is found in the Nixplay app under "Settings."

**Q: How long does it take to upload a picture to the frame not the website??????  I've been waiting 30 minutes for 1 picture.**
A: Something is wrong. It shouldn’t be taking that long. I suggest that you abort and start the process all over.  Are you uploading the photos from your phone? Don’t upload from the computer, use your phone!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best digital frame ever!

I have had 4 digital frames over the years. Each one had it's challenges. Biggest challenge on all of these was adding and deleting pictures. With that said, I would just live with the original pictures loaded. Two weeks ago, my Kodak framed died. I started researching. I ordered a few others and returned them. Finally decided to spend the extra money and try Nixplay. Setup was done in 30 minutes which included loading all my pictures from my phone. Quality is fantastic. My 88 year old mother is by herself during COVID19. I dropped off the loaded frame in front of her door. She plugged it in and all worked beautifully! She loves it so much! I ordered the largest frame for me. This setup was about 10 minutes. Easy to delete and add from my phone. Sharing pictures all the time with my mom. I'm going to purchase a 3rd one for my sister. I love being able to walk into my kitchen and see all the wonderful pictures from my phone. I highly suggest this frame. Worth every dime!
