**Q: Would this work on outdoor knifes?**
A: I would think if the knives are fairly sharp this would fine tune them.

**Q: This sharpening is stainless steel ?**
A: I believe so.

**Q: Does this sharpener require cleaning? If so how is it done?**
A: No the sharpener itself doesn’t need to be cleaned, but don’t forget to clean the knife blade before using it.  I will have fine metal shavings on it.

**Q: What is the grit of the sharpener?**
A: Not enough.  the one I was replacing is better than this.  So the answer is a very fine grit
