Even with the proper hair product if you run your fingers to separate the curls it just looks frizzy and prom like. I bought the barrel curls and it still came out like 80's hair and the curls fell out quickly. Looking back at all the youtube videos I watched before purchasing, they all had finer hair so it worked great for them.
