I have dreadlocks that come down to my shoulder blades. I use a regular speedo swim cap and this product. I put this headband on first and keep it low around my forehead. I put dreads up in a ponytail. Then the regular speedo swim cap goes on. The bottom of the speedo swim cap sits right around the middle of the headband. I have been reluctant to swim because it was just too much of a hassle to blow dry my wet hair, then try to curl and style it afterwards because it was always dripping wet after a swim despite my Speedo cap. It was so time-consuming. However, after using the Sync Hair Guard Headband, my hair is as dry as a bone after swimming laps in my pool. It is GREAT!!! I put it on first, then I put my Speedo cap over it so that it is under the cap and this "double-layer" effect, especially around my forehead, ears and nape of my neck must be the reason for keeping my hair dry. Finally, I don't have to spend an hour or so blow drying my wet hair after a swim.
