It is honestly, very unlikely that someone could steal your credit card info from afar and there have been very few documented cases. Even if they got your card number they would have to also somehow get your address and 3-digit security code to be able to make purchases with it. With this being said, the US Government does include an RFID blocking sleeve with the Global Entry cards that they issue, so they seem to be at least a little bit worried about it. Long story short, having a RFID blocking neck wallet doesn't hurt to have just in case.
