The roof was completely black. It had never been done. I followed the instructions and both the primer and top coat worked exactly as described. Yes, the primer will be tacky, yes, if you touch it, step on it or disturb it. It's very sticky. That's its job. We did 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of top. We are a 29' class C and still had almost a full gallon of each left. We used rollers just plain cheep ones. We did use brushes along the edge. We were in Colorado with low humidity and mid 50 nights and mid 80 days. It took a total of 4 days. I'm sure you could do it faster but this worked for us. Make sure to wait until it's at least 50 to start. Other than that. This was a fantastic product. We has had no issues with leaks. Those that left bad reviews obviously just can't follow directions. A popular method is to primer one half down the middle and work from the bare side. once you apply the first coat of RV coating and it dries, the surface will be tack free and you can walk on it to prime and coat the other half.
