The waist on the skirt is elastic but is quite snug, which is my one gripe, though it's not uncomfortable. The length falls about an inch and a half above my ankles. Large would be too big and likely too long. Compared to the more popular print, the brown dotted one, the pleats in this are quite subtle, and that's fine.
