It adds more layers to the story of Twilight Princess and to entire franchise of Legend of Zelda as a whole (though still non-canon). Without spoiling anything, the approach to the end of the series is coming fast. Go see for yourself! Review: really enjoying a longer multi-volume zelda manga - I've been picking up each volume of the Twilight Princess manga so far and I am absolutely in love with every aspect of it. It's so nice to see a real in depth and drawn out retelling of one of my favorite games, as well as to see a Link with a deeper characterization, personality, and internal struggles. We get to see Twilight Princess Link as an individual in a way that the other Links didn't have the chance to get in their own manga volumes (since all the other manga for the other games were no more than 2 volumes max). There's a lot of world building and character interaction going on that I WISH was put into the game! This volume specifically goes into the aftermath of Link getting a powertrip from the master sword in the last volume, recovering those injuries, and getting over that internal struggle. There's a canon foreigner that helps with that, but it's actually quite interesting. There's also some well deserved screentime for the Hero's Shade and Zelda in this volume that were really nice to see. But honestlyyyyy it's just SO nice to see the world of a Zelda game so deeply fleshed out over multiple volumes like this. Every other Zelda manga has only ever had 1-2 volumes, and thus had to cut a lot of stuff out in order to make it work. Those Links never really struggled very long either and their stories felt very fast paced. There wasn't a lot of time for them to have deep, multi-chapter struggles like Twilight Princess has, and that's why I love this particular Zelda manga so much more than all the rest.
