But then I tried it.I wet my head with a hot towel for a few minutes, put about five good shakes of this on my hand and rubbed my head all over, being sure to get behind the ears and on the neck. Then I shaved with a Mach 5. Though not as risky as an open blade or safety razor, a Mach 5 with fresh cartridge is nothing to be cavalier with. I won't say I *couldn't* nick myself, but it would be hard to... you'd almost have to be extremely careless to do it. This oil will make you an expert head shaver with no effort. Shaving against the grain? No problem. Multiple (gentle) passes to get a tough spot? No problem. Small bump or two on your head here and there? You still have to be careful over those areas but I didn't even nick those. Best of all, there was absolutely bare minimal mess. It doesn't feel oily! Shaving cream is a messy pain to use by comparison and it just doesn't work as well. And no clogging or gunking of the razor with the oil at all. Follow the directions and you will *never* go back to cream. And as for that somewhat expensive little bottle? It's going to last a long time. You'll want to use more than the label says at first, but don't. You'll think there can't possibly be enough on your head to do anything to keep you from being cut to ribbons, but there is enough. I don't know how, but it works and I love it. I haven't worked out if it's more expensive to use over cream, but I don't care. I'm sold. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ NO GOING BACK. *by T***. on Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2018* No going back to shaving creams. I've used just about everything to shave my head. This stuff was just AMAZING. I would give it 6 stars if I could but, I was not jazzed about the price given the size of the bottle. I will buy this again and again but, a $11 dollar price point is more reasonable. As great as it is, I think that I'm going to attempt to create my own. The ingredients are Grapeseed oil, Fragrant and Essential oils, vitamin E, tea tree oil. I already have a few oils at home that are used in different shave oils. I may come back to this but, I think companies that make this stuff think men are more willing to buy something like this instead of creating it themselves. If you don't have the time, product is a great alternative. Not one nick using a Harry's razor. (which I use because they're affordable as well) They're not the best razor IMO but, with this oil, it gave me the best head shave I've ever had in my life. ### ⭐⭐ I won’t buy again. I purchased this specifically for shaving my head in the shower. As far as lubrication goes it does a good job you don’t have to use much of the product. My issue is that it clogs the razor excessively and that Stubble is an oily glob. It clings to the tile and the tub so I can only imagine what he’s doing to the drain my razor very difficult to clean after using this I can only imagine what it’s doing to the drain.
