I used it for distillate and noticed it was extremely hard to push back out but I didn't want any other contaminates so I'm glad there wasn't any Lubricant added **Q: will the glass and silicone of this syringe hold solvents without degrading? is the silicone as safe as HDPE plastic, which doesn't erode?** A: Borosilicate is designed to stay completely intact even when it gets loaded with hot liquids or oils. **Q: Can these be sterilized in a pressure canner?** A: The glass can be but not the Luer lock cap and plunger **Q: Plastic plunger, want to store distillate. Will this work? Distillate has to be stored in glass** A: Rubber plunger!
