Review: I wasn't sure at first, but now I love these sandals. - I love these sandals! This is my first pair of Birkenstock sandals and I am already trying to decide which ones to add to my collection. I was a little unsure if they would work as my feet are narrow and tend to slip out the front of sandals that don't have something between the toes. The straps allowed me to adjust them to fit my feet and they have been great. No slipping at all. The soft footbed and great support are what makes me love them so much. I have worn them walking all day and my feet feel great. It took a few wearings for the footbed to mold to my foot, so I wasn't sure about them at first. I definitely recommend wearing them around the house several days before you make your final decision.

**Q: Any real leather on these shoes?**
A: If you get the BirkiBuc then its synthetic,  leather is usually Tobacco, Habana etc

**Q: Has anone had problems with soles coming off over time? Someone said theirs did after a year**
A: I’ve had at least 10 pair of Birkenstock shoes through the years, and the soles have never come off. I’ve had the cork part of the soles to split after 5 or so years of wear on a pair. Also, if you leave them out in the sun, like in the back window of a car, the soles will shrink. But, once again, Ivenever had soles to fall off.

**Q: How to measure for size**
A: Birkenstock provides a comparison listing US sizes to their EU sizes. My Birkenstock sandals fit exactly to my US size.

**Q: What size would I orders if I wear 7**
A: I wear a 6-6 1/2, so in these I wear a size 37. If I were you, I would get a size 38 for the correct arch placement. There should be a bit of a overhang on the front of the shoe. These are a soft bed shoe and the fit is a bit different than the original fit shoe. I hope this helps.

I love these sandals! This is my first pair of Birkenstock sandals and I am already trying to decide which ones to add to my collection.
