The deep navy stands out but doesn't overpower the neutral hues that work well in our funky/playful living room. I'll echo the other reviewers that the rugs are somewhat thin because they're silk, but we've found them incredibly soft and comfortable beneath our feet. For the look and feel, these rugs are a great buy. P.S. To shoppers considering an 8 x 10 rug, it's really 8 x 11.5, which came as a surprise and gave us a smidge more coverage than we needed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't use my vacuum on it because it is too light and just gets sucked up in it *by J***T on Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2016* I have had the carpet for a year. It has held up well, but is not in a high traffic area. I can't use my vacuum on it because it is too light and just gets sucked up in it. An old fashioned carpet sweeper would work better. It is very soft, but not a plush, deep carpet. The carpet looks different from different angles. It looks darker from one angle and light from the other angle. I had to air it out in the basement for a month or so, and it still has a faintly unpleasant smell. It is soft, but extremely short, thin nap. I like the colors and patten.
