## Description

Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) allows you to experience the power and speed of your Traxxas model by making it easier to control on slippery surfaces. TSM senses the vehicle’s direction and makes steering corrections to provide acceleration without fishtailing, spinouts, and loss of control. TSM also works during cornering, making corrections to maintain your line and allowing you to hammer the throttle earlier. Braking is dramatically improved as TSM works to keep you arrow straight. Traxxas TSM provides electronic stabilization without intruding on your driving fun or introducing unexpected side effects. Traxxas engineers developed superior tuning algorithms to create a system that works invisibly, in the background, without limiting your throttle. TSM can be fine-tuned (or turned off) for different surfaces by simply adjusting the multi-function knob on the TQi transmitter, or by adjusting the slider in the Traxxas link app. The result is that you are driving faster and having more fun. TSM lives in the receiver and works with TQi transmitters equipped with a Multi Function knob. The Multi Function knob adjusts the amount of assistance provided by TSM. TSM never restricts throttle input. TSM can be turned off by simply turning the multi-function knob counterclockwise to its stop. TSM can also be adjusted in the Traxxas Link application. Each model has a specific software load, custom tuned to the model. Traxxas Link remembers TSM setting when the driver uses the same transmitter and switches between various models equipped with TSM. When installing TSM into Traxxas models, it requires a Traxxas TQi radio system with the Multi Function knob. Connectivity to the Traxxas Link App (iOS or Android version) is also required in order to update the receiver firmware with a TSM profile for the specific model. Depending on the radio system, it may be necessary to purchase the TQi Traxxas Link Wireless Module to connect to a smart phone via Bluetooth.

I understand this is an RTR brand and focused towards that but This is dated technology paired to an extremely dated radio. Traxxas doesn't need $40 for these to likely go into a kit made by traxxas and probably replacing another traxxas receiver. Its works fine, range is great, durability is standard to every other brand. If they were cheaper I'd buy more for kit cars but at this price its hard to justify buying them vs a brand like flysky which is vastly superior in every way. If your looking at this receiver for a new car, maybe think about switching to a company that makes transmitters and Ditch the rtr radio. Look into flysky, something like the G7P or if you want a huge step up look at the flysky noble nb4.

**Q: I have the tqi transmitter what else would i need for the tsm system and what port would the steering going in to to make it work?**
A: You only need this receiver and your TQi transmitter (which must have a multifunction knob to work with it). Otherwise all of the TSM capabilities (gyro) are contained in this receiver. You will use Ch1 for you steering servo(s). Ch2 goes to your ESC which provides for throttle. Pay close attention because this receiver has two physical Ch1 ports (for models with dual steering servos). So when you connect the wires don't connect the ESC wire to the second Ch1 port or the model will try to drive when you turn the steering wheel.Receiver Ports:Ch1: steering servoCh1: steering servo #2 (if equipped)Ch2: To your ESCCh3: (optional feature)Ch4: (optional feature)Ch5: (optional feature)At a minimum you need ch1 and ch2. The optional channels are used by some models like the Traxxas Dragster (staging and burnout modes) and the Summit (4×4 front and rear diff locking).

**Q: Will it pair to the normal tq transmitter and the tsm just not work but i could still drive the car?**
A: No it will not you must have latest controller with Bluetooth module this transmitter is completely worthless without the new remote no you can't still drive the car

**Q: Will this work on the slash 4x4 ultimate with tqi ?**
A: Yes it will work, as long as you have a TQI controller (The newer kind with the blue "I") and the Bluetooth module for the controller. The Bluetooth module is needed to download the unique telemetry signature for your slash.
