It took me one nearly 2 hours of sitting still, arm crooked and locked, hand stiff after holding the burner for so long to actually make any progress on my sign. It’s certainly not as easy as everyone makes it sound, it’s extremely time consuming and yes, my tip also bent because of the heat and constant pressure on the pen.I’m just glad my sign isn’t too long or I’ll be at this for weeks! I tried several tips before I found the one that worked best for what I needed and even then you have to be extremely precise if you want any decent lines. I was having to steady my hand and prop it up the entire time I was burning, to the point where my hand went numb.It’s great for crafting tiny little mdf effigies and card making etc. but anything higher that than and you’ll have your work cut out for you (not pun intended).It doesn’t smoke as much as I thought, so I’m glad I didn’t also purchase a smoke filter, just not needed.It’s ok, I’m not overly thrilled, I’ll be here all week burning my house sign, I know I will and I’ll pay for it with stiff elbows and hands!
