They are sturdy, with all metal parts - I believe the spike into the ground is actually aluminum, but it feels and acts much sturdier that the plastic ones most lights come with. They are tall, maybe with the right soil, you can lower them, but I live in Colorado - so the rocky ground prevents them from being placed deeper. It's fine with my set up - I wanted the height. The lights are bright and clear. They light up the driveway and the porch area perfectly. They are on the expensive side, but if you are looking for a better quality, these seem to be worth it. I purchased 2 boxes (4 each) and all of the lights worked right out of the box. From what I can see, they all remained lit throughout the night. Highly recommend.

So far these are amazing. You can adjust the brightness, which is great. They are sturdy, with all metal parts - I believe the spike into the ground is actually aluminum, but it feels and acts much sturdier that the plastic ones most lights come with. Highest light output of any on market and you can vary the light level to suit your needs. Glass gives light a pattern that crosses pattern from nearby lights. Stays shiny and good looking. Easy to assemble and use. By far the best walkway lights I have ever had.
