I ended up with the pastel lilac color as I didn't want brown and there were no other colors in my size. I have been pleasantly surprised with how much I like the color. The shoe itself is more of a dark grey with a green tint, the webbing is a wee bit lighter gray/green than the leather, and the touches of lilac are quite small but just the right bit of extra color. The heel and sole are super firm and rugged with the collar and tongue next to the ankle a bit softer. They were comfortable from the beginning. I normally wear a size 8-8.5 or Euro 39. I have skinny feet and long toes (which seem to be getting longer!). The 8.5 was a decent fit, but I worried about jamming my toes, especially with heavier socks. I lost toenails with my last shoes so I upsized to size 9. While a wee bit long, they fit my arch and I would rather wear heavier socks than lose my toenails! I've got them nearly completely laced together. The insole (in lilac) is also very sturdy with good arch support. With all of the sturdiness built in, they are not a lightweight shoe and definitely not good for running. Walking and hiking are fine. They are definitely worth the spendy price for my aging legs. I don't see the tag on pic. of shoe** A: Yes, it’s a great shoe! I love the traction on it in slippery spots! **Q: Do these run small like Keen ? Or true to size?** A: True to size is my experience. I bought those shoes to go on an African Safari and they are simplyTHE Best. They hug your heel so even when going downhill you foot stays stationary! **Q: How does the width of these shoes compare to Keens?** A: Hi there. I have quite wide feet, and use Keen sandals but have never had Keen shoes. I found the Oboz shoes were wide enough for my feet, but the problem was the grip. We have some very slippery flags outside our house, and I think it was the shape of the Oboz sole that was the problem - it gave less contact with the ground than other shoes. I walk a lot, so they were no good for me. For info, my new Salomon shoes keep me upright outside the house, and are wide enough. **Q: do they strech a bit?** A: Not very much. I needed mine to be a tiny bit wider at the big toe joint and I sprayed them with water and put my boot stretcher in them and left them about 4-5 days and they are perfect but the brown and purple ones are the only ones that didn't fit perfectly. I have 3 pairs, turquoise, magenta and the brown and purple. I wear them all the time.
