It's been years since we've seen a Dr. Strange figure in the line. Since the days that Toybiz had control of the line and made one of him in his classic costume years ago. Unlike other more well-known and favored characters such as Spider-Man, Wolverine, The Avengers...we have not seen multiple reincarnations, variants, etc of Dr. Strange in action figure form so this was a much needed update to the character. But, is it worth the money? I definitely think so! Hasbro did an overall great job with a new more modern look to Dr. Strange and overall you get the articulation that you'd expect from any standard Marvel Legend figure. Double jointed elbows, articulation at the ankles, knees, wrist, waist, etc. There is even a nice inclusion of mystical energy/spell effects that snap onto his wrists and he includes a piece to the Hulkbuster build a figure which is also a pretty great figure! The only slight downfalls may be no alternate hands, no other accessories (such as a spell casting book would have been neat perhaps?). So if you're not looking to display Strange in a spell-casting position, you may have some issues but to be honest I'd say most are looking to display him just like that so the sculpted hands and the spell-effects are just fine. Overall the paint is great. I didn't have any sloppy paint issues or problems with the one I ordered and have seen several in stores and if anything there may just be a slight eye slant but usually they've had a consistent great quality with the paint applications. There isn't as much texture or detail as the Toybiz days but overall Hasbro has made a fine and solid figure that definitely goes well with all they've been doing in the Legends line. One can now only hope that with the Dr. Strange movie coming out that aside from the likely-obvious Dr. Strange movie figures, we'll hopefully get a re-do of him in his classic attire. While the old Toybiz figure is great, it could use a re-do, especially the annoyingly stubborn cloak that it came with. Figure is highly recommended to any Marvel Legends or Dr. Strange fan. Great figure, good accessories, great articulation, good paint, great build a figure piece. Recommended. *by D***S on October 20, 2016* I'm a longtime fan of the classic Doctor Strange character, but I do like this costume design, for the most part. I prefer the dark red and gold paint on this figure over the bright colors on the newer figure with the same costume. The head and face sculpt & paint is flawless. The Hulkbuster "Build-a-Figure" leg that's included is massive and has a high-quality look and feel to it. I rated this figure 4 stars, as it feels a bit lacking in some areas. It does seem odd that he's missing his famed Eye of Agamotto and Cloak of Levitation. Maybe these are supposed to be represented by his flowing black robe and the golden buckle on his waist in this version? It's not quite clear. Also, his magic effects look good when equipped, but I would've liked them better if they could fit more securely around his wrists. I realize these are minor complaints.
