You need to cut off two of the links to make it feel right. THEN you deal with how cheap and unacceptable the metal workings are. Bad ball bearings. cheaply put together. However the weight is comparable to a real hard wood, and I would rather be accidentally hit with one of these practicing than with a real hard wood pair. Yeah, but the rubber is hard, and using a real hardwood pair would probably be better, given the horrible cheap mechanics. Make them actual size, with real ball bearing parts. Then I would recommend them. Getting hit in the face with my real hardwood nunchucks: 10/10 painful. Getting hit with these rubber nunchucks : 8/10 painful. The review asks me to rate these for beginners. Um, stuff like this isn't really marketed for beginners. But it's not the product's fault that the review questions don't make sense, so I rated them 5 on both. These were delivered fine and clean, and are strong and durable. They can cause bruises or hit you in the head or kidneys if you aren't careful. I think a helmet and torso padding should be worn. They are great!
