Nice kit with all needed pieces and was easy to install. I replaced an existing line while installing a new bilge pump. Worked out well as this line was about 12" longer and allowed a much better placement of the pump. Tubing is a little thin, wish it was a higher grade plastic - will see how well it lasts. Hose is 5 feet long and you cut to length up to that. I installed mine using a 90 degree through hull fitting to keep from having a kink in the hose. That 90 degree fitting was an additional purchase to this kit. **Q: What is the maximum hull thickness that the thru hull fitting will still work in?** A: I used a stainless one instead of the one supplied but if I remember right it was pretty long, I think it would work up to a 1" thick hull. **Q: Have with the fitting black color to match a black hull?** A: Not as a part of this kit. Black through hull fittings can be purchased separately, or the white fitting can be painted with black Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover Paint. **Q: What size Drain Plug would you need to fit into the outside of the thru-hull to prevent water from going inside the 5’x3/4” hose?** A: You should use a one way valve somewhere in the hose between the pump and the hull fitting, don't use a drain plug... You should have the fitting above the waterline when the ski is upright, but that's only half the battle... Whenever you flip your ski, that fitting you put above the waterline will now be fully submerged...
