Makes my quads burn! *by S***M on Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2016* I bought this for training during running and to add some weight when climbing stairs. I considered a women's specific version but the prices were crazy. This vest was reasonably priced and had good reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. The first thing I noticed were the extra weights the company included in the package. Granted, they're only sand bags, but it was a nice gesture and makes my 40lb vest a 60lb vest. When I put it on, I noticed the dual straps hold it very securely and lock it down pretty good. I expected a lot more slipping around but it didn't move very much. I was also expecting it to constrict my breathing, a problem I've had with other weight vests. Maybe it's because the sand pouches are softer than solid metal weights, but I actually found this pretty comfortable to wear. I have worn it numerous times for stair climbing and other than the brutal burning in my quads, I hardly noticed it was there. A sure sign it was going its job!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, a little big, 20 pound vest *by S***C on Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2017* I bought the 20 pound vest. I’m 5’3” about 125 pounds. I work out from time to time but wanted something for the mornings when I walk my dogs. I thought I should go with the 40 pound so I could work my way up but decided to go with the 20 pound. I have used it a few times now and only on the 10 pound weight, it was the right amount of weight for me.There are 4 pockets in the front and back allowing you to easily slip the 2.5 weights out to adjust it perfect for you. The Velcro that wraps around it is very strong. One long velcroed pocket at the top for your phone and a little spot for a water bottle at the bottom. My boyfriend who is 6 foot wore the 20 pounds for a run, he said it fit pretty snug but did move just a little. He also mentioned he would of gotten more weight for himself however it slowed him down a little.Cons- it’s not the most comfortable on the shoulders without pads. I also wish the arm straps were adjustable. It looks really big on me, I don’t think I would run in it because I wouldn’t be able to make it snug enough. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for the price but needs improvement *by C***M on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2018* What I like: the vest is not quite as bulky as I thought it might be. The weights can be evenly distributed on the front and the back. The weights slide in and out of the vest slots fairly easily and have flaps to secure them. Each weight sand bag is contained within a strong nylon shell, so no worry of them tearing and spilling. The price seems reasonable; other weighted vests can cost at least twice as much and do basically the same thing.What I don't like: the velcro belt does not really go low enough, so it is difficult to tightly secure close to the waist. That means the weight can sag onto the floor when doing prone exercises (like pushups or planks). The belt is designed to only be fully by secured around the chest (I have the 40lb vest). It really needs an extra belt or strap for the lower vest, at least one that can optionally be attached. I am a slim guy, the velcro belt does not pull tight enough to prevent this. Also the phone pocket is not really a pocket. It is just the top flap that secures the weight. A phone can slip out of the sides if you are not careful.
