Zefal Cyclops Bicycle Mirror with LED

I've used this mirror model (without LED) for years and it performs well, looks good and is easy to mount, fitting various handle bar designs and diameters and now comes with LED (5 star). The only downside is that it corrodes with water (for a bike!) and needs to be replaced every 6 months which doesn't make sense (3 stars). The reason I give it a 1 star rating is that I just bought 3 of these from the same seller and not only did they come in 2 different boxes on the same day with 1 mirror having been used (missing zip tie, missing battery protector - see photo) but each box was filled to about 10-20%. I don't know if it's a seller or Amazon issue but knowing that trucks drive around the US day and night, 365 days of the year only 10-20% full (make it 40-50% given some parcels come in appropriately sized boxes) simply is an ecological disaster.

I purchased the Zefal mirror based on recommendations on Facebook, manufacturer familiarity (I've used Zefal pumps for many years), and the ability to adjust the mirror in several different ways to ensure a good view. When i went to install (simple) the very first step has you insert a small split plastic section into the handlebar and then insert the mirror and tighten. That split section was missing from my package. I emailed Zefal (based in Europe) and received a reply that I should send them my address and they would ship me the missing component. I did (not really expecting to get anything) and received a package yesterday with two of them. Within minutes I had the mirror installed on my bike and was on the road.

This is the 3rd one of these i have purchased and i love them. the LED light makes it much safer when i ride my bicycle

I installed this mirror on one of my bikes and liked it so well that I purchased another and put it on a second bike. It is especially helpful in the winter when I am all bundled up and it is difficult to turn and look over your shoulder. I can monitor traffic or my riding partner with just a downward glance into this nicely sized mirror. It swings out of the way during storage and folds conveniently under the handle bar. I've never used the light on it, but I really like this mirror.
