However be careful around yer bollox it tends to get a bit feisty down there!! **Q: can u use itfor a dry shave** A: My husband said he wouldn’t recommend for a dry shave but it is a great shaver **Q: I find to take just the combs because i lose my own combs?** A: They are trimmer sizers for cutting your hair **Q: How often do you need to replace the blade?** A: Depends how often u shave the normal blade is like a razor so as often as you would use ur blade the trimers dont need replace a long time like hair shears ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gillette fusion *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 16 April 2026* Great bit of kit ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works really well, good value *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 June 2020* On first receiving this beard trimmer it was noticeable that it was not wrapped in Amazon’s usual protective packaging but just the box that Gillette provide to house the Trimmer and accessories. That said, nothing was damaged In transit so no problem there.No instructions arrived with the kit and for me, some specifics, such as how to attach and release the attachments would have been useful. I figured it out eventually without any breakages but a couple of clear diagrams would have been handy. It arrives with the single AA battery already in place so it’s ready to go, though it took me a little while to figure out access to the battery compartment. (The lower part of the trimmer twists from the upper part - simple once you know). The three trimmer guides are all designed to trim the beard to varying lengths of stubble. If you want to maintain a longer beard, this trimmer is not for you. For me, however it is perfect. It is small, light and works well - no painful pulling of hairs - a really good even trim from a longer stubble to short, depending on the chosen guide. Maybe I’m a bit sad but I really enjoy using the machine; it feels right in my hand and gives a good result. As well as the trimmer guides, it also comes with a Fusion five bladed razor attachment for making clean edges to the beard, using the trimmer as a handle. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to turn it on to use this feature or just use it as a conventional wet razor (again, some sort of instructional guide might have been useful). I haven’t had it long enough to run down the battery but I’ll replace it with a rechargable one. It’s designed to be waterproof so can be used in a shower, though I’ve not done so as I prefer to use a mirror.I’ve seen a video that features a plastic housing to hold the whole kit. Mine came with only a small holder for the guides and razor blade, which is ok for home use, though a case for the trimmer and the bits would be very useful for portability; I’m sure I’ll find something.All in all, I’m very pleased with the product; it’s cheaper than much of the competition, works very well, has enough variability for my needs.
