Review: Awesome! - I've only used this in my house for a couple days and on a show last night. I've been using MG series mixers to date for what I need but I won't be going back to them. This mixer blew me away. Sounded stupid great with no issues at all for what I'm using it for and it's performance. This is the same format as the MG series but it goes a little further in options and routing. It's ridiculous how much it blows the MG series away. Mackie rules in this arena.

**Q: I see that the mackie profx12v3 has a 48v phantom power switch.  can non-phantom and phantom mikes be used at the same time?  one be on, others off?**
A: Yes. Condenser microphones often require 48V phantom power. When the 48V phantom power switch is engaged on ProFX series mixers all channels have this extra voltage available. With phantom power, the voltage is effectively invisible to balanced microphones that do not use it, which includes most dynamic microphones.

**Q: It says 2x4 usb i/o.  does that mean i can get 4 channels into my daw simultaneously?**
A: Hello,

2x4 means that you have a stereo send to the computer and two stereo returns from your computer. The stereo output (1-2) to your computer can be used for recording, VOIP, etc, and you can return two distinct stereo tracks (1-2, 3-4) from your Mac/PC giving you the ability to route audio from different applications (DAW, Spotify, Youtube, etc) or sources (.mp3/WAV playback) from within your computer.

**Q: Some of the effects didn't do anything...chorus, flange and a few others. Is my unit defective?**
A: Make sure the FX button is engaged and turned up. It needs to be engaged on the channel you want the FX on. If this hasn’t worked;

**Q: There are three holes underneath profxj10v3. are they for mounting?**
A: Yes, there is an optional adapter you can get to mount it atop a mic stand for easy live access.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rock-Solid Mixer — Just Replace the Included USB Cable

Here’s a cleaner and more polished version: Great mixer with solid sound quality and a surprisingly powerful feature set for the size. If you plan on using it for streaming or connecting it to a computer, I highly recommend replacing the included USB cable with a quality USB-B to USB-C cable. The stock cable kept randomly disconnecting on my Mac. I switched to the Cable Matters 201002-BLK-1m cable and it’s been flawless ever since (they offer multiple lengths as well). As a standalone mixer, this thing absolutely rocks.
